Prof Arya Kumar did his M.A. (Hons) in Economics in First Class First in 1977 and Ph.D. in the area of “Financial Management of Higher Education in India” in 1982 from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani. He has a diversified experience of more than 44 years of serving in educational institutions, research organizations, Banks, and Financial Institutions. He is presently a Senior Professor and Dean, Alumni Relations at BITS, Pilani. Prior to this, he served as Director between 2014-2016 at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi. He has published more than 70 research papers in reputed international and national journals and has guided 9 Ph.D. candidates. He has authored/co-authored four books in the areas of Entrepreneurship, General Management, and Ethics in Management.

He has successfully completed “Workshop on Technology Entrepreneurship Education - Theory and Practice” organised by Lester Centre for Entrepreneurship, Berkeley, Indo U.S. Science & Technology Forum, DST, Govt. of India and Intel; Entrepreneurship Educators Course (EEC) jointly organised by STVP, Stanford University, IIM Bangalore and National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN); Goldman Sach 10,000 Women Programme: Tools for Growing your Business organised by NEN in collaboration with London Business School; and Accelerated Commercialisation of Technology Innovation organized by Venture Centre, NCL, Innovation Park in association with Accelerator India, Cambridge University.

Professor Sandeep Sancheti is an Institution Builder, Policy Planner, and Regular Columnist on various academic policies. He holds a Ph.D from Queens University of Belfast UK, an M.Sc. (Engg.) from DTU Delhi, and a B.Tech from NIT Warangal.

He is currently the Vice President - Research Relations & Academic Ambassador, at Elsevier India. He is also serving/served many professional bodies like FICCI, CII, EPSI, IUCEE, NAAC, DST, CSIR, DRDO, TEQIP, AIU, AIM, ACU, ANZIBC, IISF, CIPU, SPIC MACAY, etc. in different capacities.

He was a member of the Court & Council of IISc Bangalore as well as a member of the Board/Senate of many other academic institutions. In addition, he is/was on various national-level committees of MHRD/MOE, UGC, AICTE, and AIU for education-related matters and has been a part of several Indian delegations abroad. He was also invited to address the Members of Parliament, Govt. of India on educational matters.

Formerly Dr. Sancheti headed seven NITs viz. NITK Surathkal, NIT Trichy, NIT Calicut, NIT Delhi, and SPA Delhi (all institutions of national importance) as Director. He has also led self-financed institutions like Manipal University Jaipur as President, SRMIST Chennai as Vice-Chancellor, and Marwadi University Rajkot as Provost. He is a recipient of the Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship under the Colombo Plan and was a Visiting Faculty at the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) Bangkok. He is the Past President of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) New Delhi and the Executive Council Member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) London.
