BIO

Dr. Priya Modi, Assistant Professor of Economics at Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Manipal University Jaipur, supplemented by Master's and Bachelor's degrees from the University of Rajasthan and Maharani College, Jaipur, respectively. With diverse professional experience including roles as a Research Assistant and Road Safety Trainer at institutions such as Shri Bhawani Niketan PG College and Muskaan Foundation for Road Safety, Dr. Modi's research interests encompass Environmental Economics, Agriculture Economics, Health Economics, and Development Economics, reflected in her publications exploring virtual water productivity and trade. Recognized for her contributions, she has received awards such as the REX Global Karamveer Chakra Award. Actively engaging in national and international conferences, she presents on topics ranging from water footprint to socio-economic development. In her teaching role, she covers a spectrum of courses including Public Policy and Development, Managerial Economics, and Indian Economy, while also participating in training programs focusing on sustainable development goals and technology integration in pedagogy. With ongoing research projects addressing economic cost analysis, water management, and menstrual hygiene management, Dr. Modi demonstrates a commitment to advancing knowledge and societal well-being.
